Richard Leon Rollins, 66, of Canon City, passed away March 9, 2015 after a brief illness. He was born February 16, 1949 to Harold and Darlene (Atchley) Rollins in Visalia, CA. After moving to Canon City, Richard worked alongside his wife at Fremont Abstract. Teaching was his passion and he thoroughly enjoyed educating minds as a teacher of Philosophy at the Fremont Campus of Pueblo Community College. Richard loved books and most often you would find him with several going at once. He was also an accomplished woodworker and gun enthusiast. He is survived by his children, Erin Lynn Rollins, Gregory (Sharon) Rollins, Jennifer (Andrew) Price and Katie Rollins; grandchildren, Austin, Josh, Michael, Nathan and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, parents and son, Sean Rollins.
